With Mitko International’s breakthrough and favourable outcome, as well as the advantageous positioning in the country’s development agenda, the group laid the foundation to Mitko Constructions in 2007. With its primary focus on infrastructure development, the company was established with the industry experienced garnered during previous ventures and entrepreneurial foresight. Mitko Construction is currently ICTAD registered with a C5 ranking. What began as a modest operation in 2007, Mitko Construction today is involved in the construction of buildings, highways and bridges in addition to water supply and drainage, irrigation and land drainage, dredging and reclamation and has gone on to complete projects worth over LKR 1,000 million.

The resilience and admirably strategic approach to aligning the business with the private sector showcases the company’s ability to continue its upward momentum even during lean periods for the industry.

Mitko Constructions’ work portfolio includes key housing projects such as Gunasinghepura flats, Sangaraja Mawatha Flats, Bluemandhal Flats, Railway Land Flats, Dias Place Flats, Chitra Lane Flats along with Prime Residencies, State Engineering Corporation, and the National Housing Development Authority to name a few. In Nagampuwara, the company was involved in projects that worked towards beautifying city/government flats as well.

Witnessing the continued expansion of Sri Lanka’s construction sector and its impact on the country’s rapid economic development over the past few years, Mitko Construction perfectly positioned to benefit from its continued growth.
